Harris Morrison: Partner, Business Development
Harris has built his real estate business upon the commitment to add value for clients and investors, and the desire to improve the built environment. Since forming HMC in 2006, he has provided real estate development, brokerage, investment and management services to clients in the greater Charlotte, NC, area, with a focus on Concord and Cabarrus County.
Through strategic partnerships, he invests in single-tenant industrial buildings, multi-tenant office buildings, grocery-anchored retail, and land, among other property types. He is focused on acquiring quality properties that provide attractive risk-adjusted returns. With his experience in commercial brokerage, development and management, he consistently adds value to the properties he and his partners invest in.
Through his brokerage and management business, Harris assists clients and investors with acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial properties. Having a deep market knowledge of the greater Charlotte area, along with strong relationships across the brokerage and business community, Harris is able to provide clients with insight and advice on real estate matters. With four licensed brokers and two administrative assistants, the firm takes a team-oriented approach to servicing its clients' needs.
Harris redeveloped of The Old Creamery near downtown Concord (www.TheCreameryConcord.com) and leased it to full capacity. Re-purposed into office and retail space, this 40,000 square-foot former creamery and Coke bottling complex has attracted over 20 tenants and brought new life to the surrounding neighborhood. The project illustrates several real estate development principles that Harris embraces, including historic preservation, urban infill, and smart growth.
He earned his CCIM designation in 2003 and his Masters in Real Estate Development from MIT in 2006. He graduated from Woodberry Forest School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Washington & Lee University. He serves as Deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Concord, and Chair of CVAN Men for Change Committee. He is past president of Cooperative Christian Ministry, and serves on several other committees and boards in the community.
Mark Hermans: Partner, Broker in Charge
Mark offers wide ranging experience including land investment sales, 1031 exchange representation and income-producing property, commercial property management, lease negotiations and residential and commercial development. His strong foundation for real estate includes expertise as a licensed title insurance agent, mortgage loan originator and broker of residential properties. He has won the CRCBR “Deal Makers Award” for superior sales and leasing in the Charlotte region.
Mark has worked with Carpenter Commercial in Concord and focuses on greater Charlotte with an emphasis on Cabarrus County. He earned his undergraduate degree at California College of Art in Oakland, CA.
Douglas Donia: Partner, Marketing and Advertising
Before moving to commercial real estate with New Branch in 2012, Doug enjoyed a successful two-decade career with retail giant Staples, Inc. While at Staples, Doug mastered supply chain management and operations. He brings a structured approach and diverse and disciplined skill set to service the needs of his clients.
Reid Baker, Broker
As a lifelong resident of Davidson, Reid uses his market knowledge to assist buyers and sellers in the real estate arena. Reid attended the Cannon School before graduating from the University of Mississippi. Before joining New Branch, Reid gained experience working for a consulting company in Charlotte specializing in commercial real estate and the Oil & Gas industry.
Ryan Kinney, Broker
Ryan Kinney is a native of the Charlotte area, growing up in the Denver region of Lake Norman where he has lived for over 20 years. From a very early age, Ryan has been active and involved in Charlotte's real estate bustle via work with the family's fourth generation, real estate business.
As a real estate investor himself, Ryan takes pride in helping businesses find the ideal property as a tenant or buyer representative. At New Branch Real Estate Advisors, he focuses on assisting clients with the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of commercial real estate.
Ryan earned his BS in Real Estate-Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and holds real estate licenses in both North and South Carolina. Outside of real estate, Ryan enjoys spending time with family and friends, sailing, fly fishing, woodworking, and international travel.
Janice Walker, Administration
Janice applies her broad business and administrative experience toward the many facets of New Branch Real Estate Advisors. Whether it’s creating marketing material, keeping property books and records, performing lease abstracts, or handling tenant relations, Janice provides top-notch service to customers and clients alike.
